We can even be your permanent sourcing department – Optimé can come in with the technology applications and a team to take over a function indefinitely. Or over time, we will hire the right people, train them and eventually transfer the methodologies and processes to them.

We can also help you solve your inventory problems. Materials management has traditionally managed only a fraction of the health systems inventory, but that dynamic is changing, and Optimé can provide expertise to optimize inventory levels across all areas. That includes inventory controls from the distributor and/or consolidated service center, warehouse or storeroom to the nursing unit Par locations and procedure areas.

Our analytics and expertise help health systems optimize the amount of capital tied up in inventory and improve service levels, so that supplies are available when and where needed. We can advise on the return on investment in a number of distribution models, including consolidated service centers, enhanced distributor services or traditional distributor relationship. (Specifically, we assess low unit of measure, stockless, just-in-time delivery, vendor managed inventory and other methods.) As with all of our services we are developing leave-behind inventory analytics tools and subscription services to maintain/sustain any gains achieved through our consulting.

Our revenue model is that this is not about a one-time, enormous consulting fee, nor is it a budget-busting technology buy. We break down deployment of our work into manageable installs that fit with a client’s budget and help deliver a clear and measurable ROI.
